Tamara Zaitseva

Born in the USSR. Lives in Barcelona, Spain.

A multifaceted artist who works in various styles and techniques. Painting and
photography are the main languages she uses to establish a dialogue between herself,
her work, and the public. She began her training in Biological Sciences in Yalta, Crimea,
and later shifted her career toward the visual arts. She develops her artistic practice by
combining conceptual research with material production. Her work revolves around
mechanisms of individual perception related to the dynamics of social transformation,
addressing themes such as the body, territory, and memory. With her works, she aims
to preserve a documentary imprint by taking photographs of real settings and spaces,
reinterpreting them through painting, and transforming them into dreamlike images.
