Carlos Pazos

Undisciplined artist, sometimes filmmaker and writer. His sculptures are assemblages of found objects. Although formally his work shows a keen sense of humor, it is deeply dramatic. Pazos makes visible the failure of modernity and questions all systems of representation: the image can no longer evoke reality and so he responds with a fiction. Pazos explores his own identity and combines irony with the poetics of objects.
