JUNE PAPINEAU

Connecticut, EE.UU. 1958

Multidisciplinary artist. Her paintings, hybrid objects and installations address meaning in art by looking simultaneously to art’s most ancient roots and to our contemporary sense of self. Her most experimental works to date are “skins” — flexible and akin to textiles, moulded on the surface of trees in situ they capture their distinguishing traits. Since 2006 she has spent a significant amount of time working in wetlands. https://artmorphos.net/
