Sinéad Spelman

Dublin, 1978

Her work focuses on the practice of drawing, writing and sculpture from an intimate perspective that at the same time investigates collective emotional states.

Her drawings, nude, gestural and almost schematic, embody female characters in ambiguous situations that open the possibility to multiple meanings. It is precisely this plurality of interpretations that makes the work of Sinéad Spelman appeal to a series of problems and common experiences, despite the marked introspective component of his work.
