Among her personal projects, we highlight the Week-End series, which was selected by the LensCulture jury in Street Photography Awards 2020 at the suggestion of lhiro Hayami, director of T3 – Tokyo International Foto Awards. The project was mentioned by The Guardian and The Washington Post and was subsequently exhibited at the Caelum Gallery in New York during The Photography Show in May 2022.

In 2022 she won the Instituto Cervantes Award in Paris and was a finalist in the International Women in Photo Awards with this project.

She has exhibited this work in Paris, Dubai, Tokyo, Geneva and New York.
Her work is in private collections and in the collection of the Foto Colectania Foundation.

Week-End shows five of the six surviving drive-in cinemas in Spain. Star in Valencia, Drive-in in Denia, El Sur in Alicante, Race in Madrid and the Autocine in Gijon.

I try to make these almost forgotten spaces visible with a personal point of view, under a cinematographic aesthetic. They are places unknown to most people whose memory is usually associated with movie scenes from other times and the United States.

The project focuses on various aspects that coexist in these timeless spaces. Its corners, its tribes (very different people depending on the drive-in and the film being screened), and finally the workers who go there
daily.

I consider that the connection between the individual and the screen is important, I seek to highlight the expressions and reactions of the audience towards the scenes of the film. In the same way, I am intrigued by the intimacy created inside the car, the small world of the spectators.

I am also interested in the unique landscape of these spaces, generally located near the coast and usually characterized by abundant vegetation that has grown to its full extent, a fact that, alongside the beam of light that accompanies it, creates a magical atmosphere at times.
