work Description
Two genocides connected in a critical, cathartic and memory exercise.
The shame is a performance performed along the West Bank Wall. The artist installed more than two meters of fragments of the Berlin Wall along the wall that divides the territory occupied by the State of Israel and Palestine. In a few hours we reached Jerusalem, where fragments of the Berlin Wall, previously bought at auctions and from two collectors, awaited us. We had to send them as an artistic work, without defining their origin. For several days, we toured the entire wall, passing through each of the divided cities and towns. (Abel Azcona) Azcona makes a metaphorical critique merging both walls. The installation remains today and has been exhibited in different countries through photographs and videos.
